My undergraduate degree is from Davidson College. I went to medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill. I also completed a residency in Emergency Medicine in 2002. In 2003 I completed my EMS Fellowship as well as an MPH at UNC. Since then, I have worked as a practicing Emergency Physician at Atrium Health/Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. In 2011 I was appointed Medical Director for the NC Office of EMS.
