Summary:

This session will deliver a timely update on the legal, legislative, and reimbursement landscape affecting EMS agencies in North Carolina and across the nation. Attendees will hear from two of the field's leading experts — Regina Godette-Crawford and Kim Stanley of EMS|MC — who bring a combined wealth of experience in EMS regulatory oversight, Medicare policy, and provider advocacy. Regina draws on more than 33 years in EMS administration, including over two decades with the NC Office of EMS and current service on the Senate Advisory Committee for Ground Ambulance & Patient Billing, and has been a consistent advocate for EMS providers in the General Assembly on issues ranging from community paramedicine funding to critical legislative priorities. Kim Stanley, Chief Client Advocacy Officer at EMS|MC and a nationally recognized expert in EMS billing and Medicare policy, spent more than a decade as the EMS Liaison for Medicare and continues to serve on reimbursement committees and contractor advisory groups at the state and national levels. Together, they will address key developments in billing practices, reimbursement policy, and legislative actions that EMS administrators need to know to navigate the evolving regulatory environment.
